Job Description

The Dock & Trucking Coordinator is responsible for arranging the delivery of mail to Postal Facilities.   They report directly to the Spervisor of Data, Dock & Trucking.

Duties:
The Dock & Trucking Coordinator oversees the timely delivery of mail to Postal Facilites.  They  maintain delivery schedules and track deliveries to ensure they arrive on time.  They are required to analyze delivery cost and recommend more cost effective methods of transportation.  They negotiate with trucking companies and trucking brokers to insure we are getting the lowest rates, shortest delivery times and proper handling of our jobs.  They will verify all trucking invoices to insure proper fees were billed.  They must provide trucking quotes and estimates to the Account Managers in a timely fashion.  In the event a claim is required, they will work with the trucking company to obtain a refund. The Dock & Trucking Coordinator must work well and communicate well with their coworkers, verbally and via email.  They work closely with the Dock, Production Departments and the Account Managers.

Job Requirements:
The Dock & Trucking Coordinator must have strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, be able to meet strict deadlines,  ability to multitask well, be computer proficient and work well under pressure.  Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
