Role Overview
Picture yourself being a Field Technician, installing and servicing state-of-the-art security systems. Do you think you have what it takes? Your primary duties would include installing troubleshooting specialty security systems, and maintenance within customer's residences. It is expected you should be customer orientated, confident in asking questions for discovery, able to work independently and effectively take directions, and responsible for task completion. In addition, continue to enhance the corporate culture of Martin Systems, and promote the team atmosphere we are striving for.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
· Install, Service, and inspect burglar alarm, fire alarm, access control, digital video surveillance and smart home devices
· Networking
· Switch and router setup
· Configuration
· Basic IT knowledge
· PC construction
· PC builds
· Can read a floorplan
· Follow a schematic
· Proficient in Microsoft OS and possibly Linux systems
Minimum requirements:
· High school diploma or GED
· Must pass pre-employment background check, drug test and physical
· Strong mechanical, electrical and electronic aptitude.
· Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
· No fear or working on ladder or lifts
Skill requirements:
· Excellent customer service skills
· Confident working with power and hand tools
· Ability to take accurate measurements
· Must work well with others
Physical requirements:
· Stand for long periods of time
· Occasional work that may require lifting up to 50 pounds
· Kneel, stoop, crouch or crawl
