Share Your Green Industry Knowledge: Bilingual (Spanish/English) & English Horticulture Trainers Needed

We're seeking experienced Bilingual (English and Spanish) and English Trainers to join our team as 1099 Contract Educators! We will train you to become a PlantRight certified trainer and then leverage your expertise to educate and certify others on our PlantRight Guarantee program, empowering individuals to grow healthy and thriving plants.

Enjoy the freedom to dictate your own schedule! You’ll have the opportunity to choose the number of training courses you’d like to conduct each month. We are currently searching for trainers in Kansas City area to conduct in-person trainings, to join our team and help us spread the PlantRight Guarantee program.

About the Program:

Our PlantRight Guarantee program provides top-notch hands-on training, education, and certification to ensure individuals can confidently care for their plants. As a Trainer, you'll be responsible for delivering engaging and informative training sessions that inspire and educate our trainees and ultimately assist in revolutionizing the way our industry plants in the future.

  • $65.00 an hour (Spanish) - each class is 5 hours total
  • $55.00 an hour (English) - each class is 5 hours total

What We're Looking For:

  • Botanical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of plant growth and response, common plant species, soil properties, pH levels, and nutrient requirements.
  • Plant Care Techniques: Functional knowledge in watering, fertilizing, pruning, pest control, disease identification and treatment, climate impacts on plant growth, and more.
  • Teaching and Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver engaging and informative training sessions with strong public speaking skills and clear communication.
  • Practical Experience: Hands-on experience in gardening, horticulture, or agriculture with experience in small-scale and large-scale planting operations.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with gardening tools and equipment, basic knowledge of modern horticulture technology (soil sensors, irrigation systems), and ability to use online platforms for virtual training sessions.
  • Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to answer questions, provide support to trainees, adapt teaching methods to different learning styles, and show patience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Degree in horticulture, botany, agriculture, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Required: Several years of experience working in a relevant field (landscape installation and management, horticulturist, agricultural consultant, garden center manager) with a proven track record of implementing plant care and planting programs.
