Job Summary

We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Pharmacist. This position will be responsible for dispensing medications, reviewing patient profiles, and contributing to the overall medication management process.

Job Description

• Review and verify prescriptions and medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety.
• Dispense medications and prepare them according to proper guidelines and procedures.
• Monitor medication therapies for potential interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
• Provide counseling to patients and healthcare professionals on proper medication use and drug therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication regimens.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in pharmacy operations.
• Maintain and update patient medication records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Participate in the sterilization and processing of pharmaceuticals when necessary.
• Assist with the training and education of pharmacy interns, technicians, and staff members.

Skills Required

• 1 year Pharmacist experience
• Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy practices, medication management, and safety protocols.
• Pharmacy dispensing system experience, Sterile Processing experience, IV room experience, knowledge of an EMR (Electronic Medical Records system) preferred.
• Spanish preferred

Education/Training/Certifications

• Minimum Degree Required: Professional (J.D., M.D., D.D.S. or Pharm. D.)
• Valid license to practice as a pharmacist issued by NYSED, Primary Source Verification required.

Additional Requirements

• Malpractice Insurance - All Credentialed Providers are required to have active individual Medical Malpractice.
• Schedule Notes: A schedule will be discussed during an interview. (5) 8-hour shifts per week

  Pay Rate

• $90.00 per hour
