Description

Priority Patient Transport is seeking to hire a wheelchair van operator.  As our wheelchair transport division has grown, we find that more and more customers are seeking out Priority Patient Transport because of our reputation for having reliable and friendly staff!  Customers know they will be treated with respect and that our staff has the training and equipment necessary to transport them safely.

Shifts are available Monday through Saturday and will vary based on need.  Operators of our wheelchair services are responsible for the safe and comfortable transportation of clients between home or care facilities and appointments.

Requirements:

• Friendly, customer-service oriented attitude
• Clean Driving Record
• Ability to secure patient using wheelchair restraints (Requires bending/lifting)
• Ability to safely transfer patients to and from wheelchairs  (Requires bending/lifting)
• Lifting and Carrying of equipment and belongings (Requires bending/lifting)
• Ability to pass pre-hire screening including drug testing
• Ability to use a computer for documentation of transport data
• CPR Certification or ability/willingness to obtain upon hire

Preference shown to candidates with:

• Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification
• Experience in transportation industry
• Flexibility of schedule (Early morning hours will be required)
